This is a qualitative study aimed at gathering information about the lived experiences of nonbinary adults. To be eligible to participate in this study, you must identify as nonbinary, currently live in the United States, and be born in or before the year 2004.

People who identify with multiple gender labels including nonbinary (e.g. nonbinary and transgender, or nonbinary and cisgender, etc.) are welcome to participate, so long as they meet the inclusion criteria listed above. This study will focus primarily on your nonbinary identity, and if you decide to participate, you will be asked to think about your nonbinary gender identity development over time, in the context of your other identities, and in the context of society more broadly. Additionally, you may be asked about your understanding of concepts such as gender and sex more broadly and asked to answer questions pertaining to your background, identity, and beliefs.

We anticipate the study will take up to 1 hour to complete and you will be compensated $20 for your time spent taking this survey. Taking part in this study is voluntary, and you are free to stop participating in the study at any time or choose not to answer any questions without penalty.
